Denon 1803-component input (1 Viewer)

My Denon 1803 receiver specs show it can handle 27MHz progressive component. I have a Toshiba SD-6200 progressive DVD player, and a Toshiba 65H80 TV. Should I continue to have my DVD video feed straight-through to the TV, or can I route it through the Denon, without any loss of signal or noticeable degradation?
