I am planning a HT and currently have the following:
Sammy HLR6168
Sammy HDMI DVD
Bell 9200

I have ordered JBL SC200 7.1
I am building a Media system

My question is what receiver I am in Canada and have looked at the Pioneer vsx1015 and the Yamaha HLR5890.
I am looking for a receiver that will keep voume level (Yam's night feature) and want to keep the price down, currently 1015 is $599.99 and the Yam is $899.99.


By the way, this is an upgrade I am currently listening to Logitech computer speakers...they are THX and have a powered sub, but still...

Just wondering if anyone has compared these two receivers or have others in the same price range that would be worth looking at.
Basically I know that these two are not the Denon 3806 that everyone seems to rave about, however my plan is to build this sytem now, then when HDMI inputs become more commonplace, upgrade to a better receiver and use this one for bedroom/computer room.

Any tips would be great.
