what do you folks set your db meters at when calibrating the sound on your receivers

also should I use the test tones on the receiver or on a test disc

I use the test tones on my Denon 3803, which has you calibrate to 75db. Any setting on your meter that covers the range you need should work. For instance I can set mine to 70db and it goes from 60db (-10) to 76 (+6), or I set it to 80db, and it goes from 70 (-10) to 86 (+6). Also have the response set to "slow" and weighting to "C"
