Hi

Thinking of getting a CRT RPTV and due to size of apt, my non magnetically shielded Vandersteen speakers will be only a few inches away from the front of the TV.

My question is will this affect the TV picture and also permanently damage the PQ.

Thanks

Shriram

Probably not, because the magnetically sensitive parts of your RPTV are buried deep within the box and away from the Vandersteens. If you were dealing with a direct-view CRT-based unit, however, there would be a problem.

what jack says is accurate, very unlikely there will be any effect, and if there is it wouldn't threaten the display(in most any reasonable case)
