Use coupon code 52351 to get a $5 discount on any DVD at DVDEmpire.com.
I used it to preorder 1776, which they already had at a lower price than any other online retailer.

It's true you can only use it once, but you don't have to be new.

I am NOT a new customer (i.e., I had an account and ordered there before) and it accepted it for my order.

Here's the shipping information from their website:

    USPS Media Mail

    (6 - 15 days average) $0.95 + $0.35 per item.

    USPS Priority Mail

    (2 - 4 days average) $3.30 + $0.25 per item.

    UPS Ground

    (2 - 5 days average) $4.85 + $.25 per item.

    FedEx 2nd Day

    (2 days) $7.35 + $1.45 per item.

    FedEx Standard Overnight

(next business day) $10.35 + $1.65 per item.

I used the Media Mail since they are located only a few miles from me here in PA. Unfortunately that also means they charge me sales tax, but it's still a good deal with the coupon.

I would imagine using THIS online coupon will give you THE best deal on the following DVDS - even better than the B&Ms:

    • Harry Potter - $13.19 (52% off)

    • Vanilla Sky - $14.49 (52% off)

    • A Beautiful Mind - $15.99 (47% off)

    • Black Hawk Down - $13.17 (53% off)

    • Gosford Park - $13.89 (49% off)

    • I am Sam - $12.49 (50% off)

I went ahead and ordered Black Hawk Down for $14.47 shipped.

I figure I can re-sell it for near the same price if or when I decide to sell it for the SE.

I tried using it and it said that I "couldn't add more than 1 promotional item"... huh?

I don't know why it apparently stopped working. I think it was supposed to be good until 5/20. Oh well.
Here's another $5 coupon code, but this one requires a $20 minimum order. Expires 5/20. I just tried it and it worked. I ordered The Importance of Being Earnest (Criterion).
    $5 off $20 coupon: 209931

I called them today and was told that the first code was an error listed by another site, yet they were still granting it until last Thur.

The current coupon makes you buy something that costs $20.00 before shipping. Shipping costs do not count as the $20.00 barrier. In other words, leave shipping out of the total price in order to qualify for the current coupon.

I wanted to switch my pre-order from Black Hawk Down to Star Trek II: Director's Edition but they wouldn't let me.

So, I cancelled. I wasn't very inpressed with DVD Empire's customer service at all. I don't plan on ordering from them again.
