I've seen some people think that Vin Diesel has the coolest voice since James Earl Jones. It got me to thinking about who I think has the coolest voice since Darth Vader.
I think Avery Brooks - (Sisko on Deep Space Nine) has a pretty cool voice, but if I had to choose only one I would pick Tony Todd (The Candyman)as the coolest voice since Mr. Jones.
Anyone have a better pick?

I had totally forgotten about Peter Cullen. I remember learning about him on 60 minutes or some other show. He has the voice everyone recognizes and at the same time no one knows his name.
Good one.

Kieth David has a cool voice. He was in Requiem For A Dream, as well a couple of other films, and some voice work in some animation.

I'm going to have to catch up on some of these newer movies. Otherwise I'll have no idea who you guys are talking about.

I had an opportunity to see Peter Cullen on TV one time. It was some type of CNN (or some other news show) report on voice actors on movie trailers and they mentioned Peter Cullen. I took my glasses off to clean them, and through my blurred vision, I could barely see they they were SHOWING HIM ON TV. Optimus Prime, in the flesh. By the time I put my glasses back on, they were showing something else.
Ah well. It's kind of better this way, I think. :)

David Odgen Steirs in the recent "The Curse of the Jade Scorpion" by Woody Allen. His great voice and the way he says "Madagascar!" almost hypnotized ME! :)
