Casey's Shadow pan-and-scan only? Say it isnt so, Sony! (1 Viewer)

I went to Columbia's website & they list the upcoming DVD release of the Walter Matthau Cajun classic "Casey's Shadow" as being full-frame only. That can't be right because Martin Ritt filmed the movie in 2.35 & Columbia has a long history of releasing 2.35 films in the original aspect ratio on dvd. here's the details
Is there a way to convince Columbia that this would be a mistake?

I don't know. Sony's track record is plummeting, and we can't do anything about it.

I feel sorry for all the people whose favorite movies are getting butchered on DVD by Sony...

We can only hope that this is incorrect information.
