LOL - I thought I knew what FORD was, but I was surprised to see it doesn't stand for "Fix Or Repair Daily"

p.s. yes I'm joking. :)

Neato web site. Very informative.

So what car company do you have allegiance to Mark?

So did Rolls Royce, Mitsubishi and Saab, as most WWII buffs would know I guess.

Yeah, for some reason, I always forget how old most car manufacturers are. I always assumed FORD had a much bigger head start on the others, but I was surprised to see some start up within the first 10 years of Fords inception.

And on the flip side, it seems like Saturn started more in the mid 80's rather than 1990.

My friend in high school would say that his truck was, "First On Race Day".

It had a 460 and we used to give riceburners a run for their....erm rice power.

Yes and no. The automotive and engine departments were split into separate companies in 1973 after the company was nationalized after it went bankrupt in 1971.

Pretty cool site.

The acronym I remember best is for Fiat: Fix it again, Tony.
