Thanks..looking and cannot decide on something to record satellite stuff to. I hear that sound and video quality varies amongst the leading brands. I thought HI-FI meant just that...

I ordered the 4800 from Crutchfield last Thursday and the UPS website says they delivered it to my apartment today! I'll let you know more when I hook it up tonight. I was looking at this one, the 7800 and the panasonic 4821 (I think that's the model number for the S-VHS Panny). I didn't want to go over $200, and when I saw this one at Crutchfield I ordered it...

I have the JVC 4800 from Crutchfield, and it is a great vcr for the price. It's my first s-vhs vcr, and I was amazed at how much better it is than plain ol vhs. I really reccomened it.
