As far as I'm concerned, this is as needless as the "re-imagining" of Miracle on 34th Street or Planet of the Apes. But I guess the networks and studios will mess with just about anything when ratings and revenues are sagging. SIGH...

I was thinking the same thing. There's nothing wrong with the original movie. It holds up well over time.

If you had never seen the original, you wouldn't know anything about the hardship that Piccolo went through.
