I prefer Liverwurst.
And yes, this is the "wurst" topic you have ever posted.

Did someone say 'Bratwurst'?
Where?
Will there be beer?
How about potato salad?
Nothing better than Bratwurst and a cold beer.
By the way, how do you cook your bratwurst? Just wondering.

Bratwurst!

I simmer mine (slowly!) in beer and then brown them on the grill. Using extreme caution to never puncture the skin.

Dad likes to do his in the smoker,
Mom does her's in the frying pan..
I prefer BB-Q'd but I have to admit that frying them is a bit juicier..

BRATWURST
I also simmer in beer, and then brown on the grill. Gotta let them cool off a little before taking that first bite though.

Go ahead, Bill...walk down the street, go into the butcher shop, and make your purchase...
...then we'll all announce that Bill took a turn for the wurst.
(sorry)

Bratwurst, yet another word you stole from us Germans. :) Like Rucksack. Zeitgeist, Angst or Kindergarten.

I like knockwurst. Weinerschnitzel is badass too. But then, bratwust is great. Hmm, so is liverwurst, but I think of that more as an appetizer, or snack food. Damn, I guess I just like it all. :) How dare you try to make me pick a fave! It can't be done!

I don't get the appeal of a knockwurst. Just a short, really fat hot dog. But, to each his own. Gimme a brat and lemme tailgate.

Bratwurst for me. But I prefer the ones from Wisconsin. Much better than most that I get here in California. Seems to be a different formulation. (That sounds so clinical, but remember, sausage making is one of those things you don't want to witness.)

If any of you guys are in the Milwaukee area for whatever reason, and have a hankering for the best brats under the sun, check out this butcher shop called Hank-n-Charlies. They make the most incredible beer-n-onion brat I have personally ever tasted. (and being from WI, I have tasted ALOT!)
I'm with Bruce..gimme a brat, a cold Miller GD, and let me tailgate.....in the parking lot of Lambeau Field just before the Packers/Viqueens game !!!!!!
Oh Heaven!
