I have a Hsu VTF-2 sub and recently purchased the Onkyo 989 7.1x130W receiver. The Onkyo has a bass peak level setting for preventing damage to a subwoofer due to too high an output level. The default setting is “Off.” I’m thinking this is O.K., as I can’t imagine cranking up the receiver so loud as to damage the subwoofer. Am I correct?
