Basic opinion and question (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone I completely new here and to audio video and home theaters. My wife and I are finally able to afford a nice system and we are starting off by buying a nice entertainment center, a nice wood piece. We are also buying a new TV and we would like some opinions. Here are the two that are in our price range and are considering. If someone knows of other in this range please suggest. Txs.

1. Mitsubishi 48? model WS-A48
2. JVC48? model AV48WP30

Any and all suggestions and/or ideas are welcomed.

I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar with those sets, but I can offer some advice:
Buy the TV, then the entertainment center.
If you can avoid it, you do not want your choice of television dictated to you by the size of a piece of furniture!
Yes, my wife places a higher importance upon the look of the furniture, while I feel the TV is more important...
I'm right.

PS: if I was buying a +/- 50" TV right now, it would either be a Toshiba 50HDX82 or Hitachi 51SWX20B.
