Austin Loudspeakers?? (1 Viewer)

A friend of mine has been offered a 6.1 setup of Austin speakers for $800. Thing is I've been here for years and have never heard of them. As soon as he asked me about them the first thing I said was, "You weren't offered these by some guys in a white van were you?"

Still, while I'm skeptical, I'd like to know, ANYONE heard of these?? I looked for a website but couldn't find one. It smells fishy to me.

Look at the drivers, cabinet quality and knock on the cabinet. It should be VERY obvious if they are crap or not.

IMO, I'd pass on them regardless.
