I just received a flyer in the mail regarding this new projection unit. It comes out next month and will retail for $2,999.00. Has anyone heard anything about it? And also how long do bulb's last? The bulb for this unit sells for $199.00

Thanks!

It's just a fancy package for SVGA LCD that's 4:3 aspect ratio with quiet fans. It's not that great a deal considering you can get XGA LCD for less than 3K (NEC LT154 and NEC VT540K). Of course if you're not rainbow sensitive, XGA DLP like the LT150 (I bought one for $2300) is better with 800:1 contrast that'll beat the pants off the Cineza. The cheap bulb is nice but it's only 1000 hr. The XGA LCD usually has 2000 hr bulbs for $300 or less. My old Sony VPL-CX1 was XGA LCD with $257 for 2000 hr bulb and had higher resolution than the Cineza. I'd wait for a formal review before splurging on this unit.
