Are RadioShack AV Gold cables the same as the Gold Component cables ? (1 Viewer)

They look and feel identical except for the colors on the plugs, but they cost about $20 more !!..for the heck of it I had some av gold wires from Radio Shack and used them on my dvd player in progressive scan, and to my suprise it worked !!.

It does not always work, but for a time Radio Shack was selling Left/Right/Video cables and component cables that were all identical 75 ohm video cables. The cheaper cables made fine component cables.

Someone said that they tore apart one left/right/video cable and found the video cable to be different. So sometimes RS changes the formula.

Note: Component cables are just 3 identical length composite cables in a bundle.
