[i posted this in the a/v forum before, I meant to put it here [IMG]]

Can anyone recomend brands/models to look into that my local best buy or tweeter, or even Sears, might have? $1500ish is what I want to spend, but I can go no higher than $2000.. $1500 would be the best price for me so the closer to that, the better (I'd like to also get an extended warranty for it, so that will add a bit to the price, but no matter what $2000 is the max altogether [IMG]).

I want a widescreen TV, under 50", that will have the best picture possible, be reliable and last for years and years and still look good, and be good for HDTV stuff when I'm able to get into that. Can anyone recomend something good?

I recommend the Panasonic PT-47WX49. With some tweaks, it can be a great set. You can usually get SEARS to price match it for around 1500.
