Anyone have the Sony Wireless Camcorder Mic? (1 Viewer)

I need a Microphone by May 26th, and this is the one I was thinking about getting. I'm assuming it just hooks up to the top of the camera with no other accessories required...but how well does it work and sound on playback?

The subject would be no more than 2 foot in front of me most times, and maybe 15-25 at others...

Heya,

I found a review over at Camcorderinfo.com. IT's on my home PC, or else I'd post a link.

Apparently it has two settings.

Sound Mode On - Records only what the mic is pointing at, and in Mono.

5.1 Sound On - If you point the mic at the subject to be recorded, that will be on the center channel. Everything else recorded on the internal cameras mic will be routed to the apporpirate speaker.

The guy who posted the review did a better job explaining it, but it sounds like my mic to get ..
