I was approached by a couple of guys in a white van about some speakers as I was walking out of a fast food restaurant a few years ago. I didn't even stop to take a look. Besides, my wife was waiting for me in the car and I was hungry!
I bought a fake Tag Hauer (sp?) watch for $15 and it worked great! Can't remember what happened to it. I must have given it away or something.

These guys approached me while i was looking for parking at the LOCAL MOVIE THEATER! I told my passengers about the scam and they started to laugh.

Dave, that could have been me! I was approached by the dreaded white van last summer. Same deal...the company loaded more speakers into the truck than were on the invoice...blah blah blah. After I left, I called the police on my cell phone and they told me they were a completely legit company with somewhat questionable, but not illegal, sales tactics. I was disappointed too...I really wanted to 'make a difference'
