I noticed these pro audio speakers starting to be sold and was wanting to see if anybody has had some experience with them? Apparently American Audio is making DJ equipment and has a line of power amps too. I could use these in a small sound system for a band. The other speakers I was looking at were Peavey Impulses ,Yamaha Club speakers, and EV.I like the idea of having the lighter weight plastic case.

I have never heard of American Audio (almost sounds like
a white van scam brand but I can't verify this..)

If you want pro level speakers for the home (I have no idea
what your budget or size constraints may be) look at the
Mackie Monitors, Various M&K offerings, Behringer Truth
Monitors, JBL Studio Series (based on thier Studio Monitors)
,Tannoy Studio Monitors and Halfer Monitors.

Those are all speakers based on or "used" in the real
recording studios. Advantages of such speakers are in thier
specs.. Most measure +/1 1Db within thier frequency response.

Some are active and don't even require external amplification.
