Anyone have any experience with AAC music files? I just got an eMac, and I'm starting to play around with the iTunes feature.

Apple says AAC files sound better than mp3's, but I was hoping for a more independent opinion......

Thanks in advance for any/all feedback....

I think AAC is generally acknowledged as being superior to MP3 as a codec. I remember reading a David Ranada article in Sound & Vision Magazine about this, including tests. I just searched, and found this article, which compares WMA and RealAudio to MP3, but mentions AAC near the end as the "Cadillac of codecs." They are always being worked on and improved though, so things can change over time.
