"Spotlight," after which the film is named, is group of high octane specialty research reporters at the Boston Globe. In search for a new long-term project, when a new editor comes on board, they find themselves in the middle of a story, that most people don't want told.

Tom McCarthy, the film's director, is one of those jack-of-all-trades.

Actor, Editor, Writer...

Among his past work, as director - The Station Agent and The Visitor.

To me, Spotlight is in a class of its own. Beautiful written, cut, shot... you name it.

And it all came together as the Best Picture of 2015.

Shot on digital, and finished as a 2k DI, the resultant Blu-ray from Universal, should be perfect.

And it is, in every regard.

This is one that you need to see.

On par with ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN. It just sucks that objective media journalism is almost non-existent now. Why haven't we been protesting its demise? All of us (and our democracy) depended upon it for unbiased information....once.
