3 new R2 DVDs of Akira Kurosawa on october 6 from BFI

    The BFI are releasing three Akira Kurosawa films on October the 6th: 1952's Ikiru (Living), 1962's Sanjuro (Tsubaki Sanjuro) and the great director's final film with leading man Toshiro Mifune, 1965's Red Beard (Akahige). Sanjuro and Red Beard will be in anamorphic 2.35:1 ratio, Living is 4:3. The three films will each have a video introduction by Sid and Nancy director Alex Cox and biographies of Kurosawa and Mifune. RRP is £19.99 each.

    I might have to get Sanjuro since the Criterion edition isn't anamorphic.

    HAs anyone bought Sanjuro R2? How is it compared to the old criterion?
