A front projector with adjustable screen masking will never show black bars - just like a movie theater!Amen.
We need to stop thinking of HT as having anything to do with "TV". It should have everything to do with theater.
Front projection is getting better and better and cheaper and cheaper. Anyone capable of light control in his/her HT should STRONGLY consider going FP rather than buying an HD- "TV" (nothing wrong with an HDTV...I have one too...just that for the same $$$ you can produce an image that's shockingly film-like on a large screen if your room is capable of accomodating it).
