    Thinking of going HDTV...

Well, you can't beat the price!!! (give to you) You'll be very pleased with the upgrade in picture quality from your satellite and Blu Ray in HD once you upgrade those sources. IMHO, Vizio isn't the best brand out there...but at that size screen you're not going to see a huge difference...

    Recommendations for my viewing habits?

I wasn't going to say it earlier b/c i don't have experience with DLP...but from what i've seen on display i definitely was not sold on the technology. Images looked very soft compared to flat screen IMHO. But, for a 60" TV at that price...can't beat it.

    Recommendations for my viewing habits?

I'm at about 10ft and i just ordered a 58" Panny V10. Hoping that'll work out all right. I agree with Man...go for that DLP w/o the extended warranty.

    Recommendations for my viewing habits?

and what about off angle viewing??? If you're going to have peeps over a lot watching from angles other than the sweet spot (the center), you might want to go with plasma. If not, LCD will work. That, along with black levels are going to be the biggest differences btwn plasma and lcd. 8-10...

    Recommendations for my viewing habits?

Ryan - Don't hesitate! Night and Day would be an understatement for the difference between SD and HD on DirecTv. I would say that your decision should be based on a couple other factors... 1) Room Lighting (do you need a tv that is good with high levels of ambient light?) 2) Viewing...

    Onkyo DV-BD507 BluRay Player Thoughts?

Does anybody have any comments on this player, or experience using it? The reviews are kind of scarce out there. The reason i ask, is because i'm buying an onkyo TX-NR807 AVR from crutchfield, and i can add on the DV-BD507 for $100. Basically $300 off their normal price. I'm mostly concerned...

Confirm or aleve my plasma fears

Matt - I just bought the 58" Panasonic V10. Won't get for 3 weeks...but i researched for 2 months before i pulled the trigger. As my viewing distance is about 10ft, i went with the 58 vs. the 65. This seems to be one of the best option for me. Much cheaper than the Pioneer 151FD that i was...
