i blew the one in my enclosure and I know a lot of you replaced the stock sub with a tempest or something. I am just looking for the subwoofer, not the enclosure or amp. Email me at [email protected] NM I called audiosource and they are sending me a used driver for free.
my receiver only has a two prong connection in the back, and my computer power supply has a three. do you guys just rip off the extra ground and connect it?
The guy at audiosource that repaired my amp told me that my subwoofer is also probably bad. Is there a better way to test this than by pushing on the cone? I'm not sure what I was listening for... He said if I hooked up a blown sub to the amp it could mess the amp up again. Any suggestions?
They charge a flat rate of $90 to repair my amp, and since I bought the subwoofer second hand I don't have any receipt. This seems like a lot of money when I only paid $150 or so for the entire sub including shipping. Are there any alternative amps you would recommend that are cheaper or should...
I searched and found some nice ones that were recommended in the past, but most are discontinued and aren't available. Can you recommend me a decent one for under $100?
