audiosource sw15 blown sub? (1 Viewer)

The guy at audiosource that repaired my amp told me that my subwoofer is also probably bad. Is there a better way to test this than by pushing on the cone? I'm not sure what I was listening for... He said if I hooked up a blown sub to the amp it could mess the amp up again. Any suggestions?

Voltmeter across the connections, look for DCR...ohms

If pushing the cone with equal pressure on all sides doesn’t get a rubbing or scrapping sound, the speaker is fine.
