As part of a Van Damme quadruple action pack (Timecop / Hard Target / Street Fighter / The Quest): http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0015FQZIK/ stated as 1.85:1... anyone know if the whole set is widescreen anamorphic? DP
I purchased this a while back and just got around to watching it... Very violent, but a fabulously filmed movie. Great soundtrack as well. The version I have was released in Canada by Maple Pictures. Of interesting note is the fact that the specs on case state the film is "letterboxed"...
The Obelisk of Doom: how's that for a title? :) So christened by my middle daughter.... History: I had always want to build a DIY sub, but never seemed to have the cash or time to actually do it. At long last I managed to collect some of the parts. I originally had an Adire Tumult 15D2, but...
This is a great comedy about a cop whose blood test gets messed up with some else's and he thinks he's dying. He then tries to get himself killed on the job so his estranged wife and kid can get a huge life insurance settlement... great comedy and car chases etc/ Never been released on DVD in...
I wander in Future shop today (Canada) and in the new release section there's this Schwarzenegger Collection (2006) DVD set... black and white cover. three films: True Lies Predator Commando ALL listed as anamorphic widescreen. No Audio options listed on outer case. So... some...
I really want to get this one, but I'm running into conflicting info on whether or not it's fullscreen or widescreen at a number of online retailers... Some are saying its FS, others full screen and widescreen anamorphic (both). There only seems to be a single UPC code out there being...
No one's asked, so I'll be first... This seems like a match made in heaven, but does it really work out? I don't know of any software which allows adequate modelling of power/excursion, Lt'ing, boosting, etc. 1) I can simply up the size of the box to get q=.577, but does this gain...
I have no knowledge, so all this is pure speculation... From the Tumult vs. Titanic thread, Dan Wiggins says of the Tumult:
There's obviously the Parathenon (sp?) floating around... I saw the motor sitting on the front desk at Adire when I stopped by this summer... very impressive. But...
These are mentioned as an option for large area/long ports... Dan Wiggins has suggested as an example long ports wrapped back and forth 3-4 times to keep the slot resonances at bay. My question: is there a practical limit to how many "wraps" you can have? e.g. can the number of wraps or bends...
To my knowledge, Adire has never published any preferred alignments for their "statement" driver... I'd like to know what some recommended alignments would look like for ported versions. Seems like they'd need to use wrapped slot ports from what Dan Wiggins has indicated. David
I was fortunately enough this weekend to spend a couple of hours with Craig Woodhall, who Tumult and HT setup can be found described in other threads in this forum. I contacted him as I live in the approx. area, and he's the only person I'm aware in the area who has built one of these. Cragi...
I'm considering purchasing a Maelstrom and using it in a smallish (150liter) sealed box with a PE 500 or 1Kw plate amp. My concern? running it thru Adire's LSPCad program shows the excursion to go right off the charts... e.g. in a .577 box you can only apply about 100W to the driver at 20hz...
