Good point on the ends of the plywood. I've been thinking of trimming the edges with wood. Just haven't decided whether to stick with the same type of wood or use a different color to contrast.
I'm getting ready to recover an older pair of speakers in some 1/4" oak plywood. Considering I epoxy the plywood to the original cabinet will it change the sonic signature much? The original covering is vinyl btw.
I can't believe this camera hasn't sold yet. I own one and love it. There are lots of options available such as lenses, filters, etc. Is it still available? I may consider using it as a spare on the boat.
Looking for some suggestions for my next processor. I like the B&K 30 but before I commit I wanted to get as many opinions as I can. My new processor must have a great music section. Thanks
Bob, I run Polk SDA SRS's for the front which are pretty substantial speakers but down on the lowest freq's they are a little weak. I personally would never run ht or music that wouldn't take advantage of their full capabilities. The Denon processor I originally looked at crosses over the freq...
My Denon receiver won't enable the sub output as long as I have my front speakers set to "large" in the menu. That's not going to cut it now that I've purchased a sub. The 30 and 950 are 2 of my potential replacements and I was wondering how they operate as far as sub output. Thanks for the info...
My 20-39 is supposed to be here in 2 days so I'm trying to find a place in my small (for the meantime) listening room. The best place I can come up with so far to get near a corner will put the driver about 32" from the lower left corner of my 36" Wega. I'm wondering if that'll be too close to...
I just got done looking at the outlaw and for the money it seems pretty decent. The only things that bothered me in the reviews was the hiss problem that's supposed to be fixed and so-so music reproduction by reviewers that had used some decent equipment. Music was rated as great by users that...
I went and tried to read some reviews last night on the 20 and there isn't that many around. It didn't get too high of a mark in 2 channel which turns me off. One "professional" reviewer said the difference between the 20 and 30 was quite significant in sound quality so I think I'll have to...
I've been looking at lower priced processors and overlooked the ref 20. I only really care about 5.1 and a good preamp section for music. How do you think the 20 would treat me? The only other question I have is that I run all Denon amps and I wonder how they'll work with the B&K? I see them for...
That is the one thing I like about the PC+, everything is included. I'm sure either one is great. I missed the B-stock 16-46 which I've been watching for a couple weeks. It was only a savings of $50 but every bit counts. Maybe you bought it?
I'm going to take the SVS plunge today and thought I'd get everyone's opinion. Which one would you choose and why? 16-46PC+ or the CSU. I'm going to have to drive the CSU if I get it with my Citation amp for the meantime just because of budget. My preamp has all of the settings to control output.
Due to budget constraints and the fact that I have 5 Denon amps that I need to employ I am seriously considering the Denon AVP-8000. I know it is getting dated but they can be picked up for a decent price and from the reviews it seems it has a pretty decent 2 channel preamp section. My problem...
I'm needing to upgrade my pre/pro and this is just about the top of my budget range. I listen to probably 60/40 percent movies to music. Who has any experience with the Sunfire? Thanks
