yeah, i think we will be going with a dark burgandy of some sort. will be getting the paint tomorrow to start this up. thanks very much for the feedback.
Ed- ya sears has all three including Hitachi. hey, i was also looking at similiar size and models until i realized i could get a 119" FPTV for $400 less. you got wall space??
yeah, i thought for sure she would go with something on the lighter side. only thing i mentioned was that i prefer dark. your blue paint is nice. do you have brand and exact color name. would like to check it out. tks
letting the wife choose this so she thinks that she has input into the project. she is leaning toward a burgandy color which i think will look good. i was leaning toward a dark blue but burgandy i think will work just as well. any thoughts on this choice? will probaly do a lighter stained...
looking at the Da-Lite 58x104. viewing distance will be about 21-22'. ceiling height is 87". or would the 52x92 work out best? probably going with the Panasonic L300U PIC OF WALL CAN BE SEEN HERE: http://www.hometheaterspot.com/htsda...ont%20wall.jpg tks
Parker, sounds like that is what I am going to do. what you just run the satallite cable to the projector? looking at either the Sanyo Z1 or the Pannasonic L300U
was all set to get the 65" RPTV, but after reading that folks are picking up front projectors for under 2k i am thinking of going that route. Light can be controlled as it will be in basement. Just need to figure out if I would have the need to watch any regular tv in the room or just make it...
Ed, little confused as to your setup. seems like your confusing your two rears with your sides. normally the rear surrounds are standard on a 5.1 setup and a rear center for a 6.1 setup. two sides would be for a 7.1. are you thinking of putting your rears on the sides and only putting...
thanks for the response. i am looking to shake the house and vibrate the neighborhood. my current setup with 40 watt sony rears crank pretty good although the room is only 160 sq ft . so i was thinking that these should blow them away even though the new HT room is close to 400 sq ft. i...
i can put the couch at any distance from the rear wall. however i was thinking something like 1 -2'. i think what i will do is buy all three types and try them out. what sounds the best to me is what i will go with. this seems to be the most logical thing to do. thanks
construction is going on now. rear of room where 90" couch will go is only 9'9" walls on both sides. speakers will be mounted on side walls 1' behind couch. to the left is a framed in w/d then it opens up after that to where around the 3' corner i will put a chair where i will normally sit...
that would actually be another question, what type of surrounds for the seating setup. seating will be between 2 walls in rear about 9 1/2' apart, then the room opens up to starting at 6' out to 13' then to 19' where the tv will be. 24' long. i would like the surrounds to consume the entire...
two options available for rear surrounds. can mount directly behind seating on rear wall or can mount on side walls behind seating. which would give the best sound?
