I'm using Maxell 4.7 GB DVD+Rs on my RCA DRC8005N recorder. Everything records fine, but my discs aren't finalizing. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Half of the discs I've been working on--converting VHS tapes to DVD--won't finalize and are therefore worthless in my book.
Last night, I was converting some things from a VCR tape to a DVD+R. I went to finalize the disc, and it never finished. I've tried it multiple times and it still didn't finalize. What's my next step? Should I clean the DVD or would that cause me to lose everything? I'm using Maxell DVD+Rs with...
I've run into another problem here. I'm in the process of converting some things over from VHS, and I'm trying to finalize the disc so that it can be viewed in other players. However, it won't finalize. I've selected it four or five times and it's not finishing the job. Any advice on how I can...
With this set coming out next week, is there any more info out on how to get the collector's box? Will there will be any other way to get it besides purchasing Season 10? I'm only up through Season 5.
This is so awesome. I've been waiting for this for a long time. When they say volumes, like they did with the Batman & Superman sets, does it follow along season lines or is it just collections of episodes?
In my opinion, another good episode last night. Any episode where they focus on the Koreans is a good one to me. My favorite visual: Jin & the big man hiding in the bushes while "The Others" walk by My favorite line: There must have been some Smarties in there, because the next day, Buster...
Here's some more Animaniacs answers from that site: "2) any1 who loves animaniacs plz contact me by email with info on the show or just 2 talk about the show. its sooooooooo cool. i want 2 no when a dvd of the show is set 2 be released in the uk and when animaniacs the great edgar hunt for...
The Parkers and Sister Sister are also two shows that were supposed to come out this year, but it doesn't look like they will. Their plans on the C.S.I. franchise and 7th Heaven seemed to have slowed as well. Hopefully, these shows will debut/continue to be released in 2006. It looks like...
Here's mine: Animaniacs (the other Spielberg cartoons would be good, too. Come on Warner Brothers!) The Steve Harvey Show (season sets) The Parkers The American Embassy LAX
As a Wal-Mart DVD rentals customer, I'm looking forward to going to Netflix. Luckily, I get to keep paying the same price I'm paying Wal-Mart for a year. I just hope I get to keep going on the free one-month trial I got from Wal-Mart. Hopefully, I'll have better luck, too. Out of the three DVDs...
I ended up getting this recorder, but now I've run into a problem. I put a disc in to record by timer on Tuesday. When I tried to take it out today, it won't come out. I pushed the open button, and three hours later the recorder still says "please wait". I've locked and unlocked the disc tray...
Does anyone own this DVD recorder? Or if not, do you know anything about it? I've been considering getting this, but I thought I would post on here to see if there are any major pitfalls with it. Also, what DVD recording settings correspond to VHS? I guess what I'm saying is, what DVD setting...
So if I use a rewritable format, I can record multiple episodes of a weekly show? Not on top of each other, but back to back? Just wanted to clarify. Thanks everyone for your help.
OK, here's a probably obvious question, but I'll ask anyway: Can you record to a DVD on multiple occassions? For example, can I record an episode of a show this week and then tape the next week's episode on the same DVD?
OK, say my DVD recorder had a hard drive and I wanted to transfer an old VHS tape to DVD. Would I just transfer the tape to the hard drive, edit out what I don't want, and then burn it to the DVD? I guess what I'm trying to figure out is whether the hard drive is worth the extra $200 or so.
As the title implies, when looking for a DVD recorder, how important is a hard drive? Can you editing such as taking out commercials without having a hard drive? I guess what I'm looking for is different things you can do with a hard drive that couldn't do otherwise. Thanks.
I loved Tiny Toons, Pinky & the Brain, and Animaniacs, but I want Animaniacs to come out on DVD the most. Since they've all been under consideration by Warner Brothers for a while now, here's hoping they come out soon.
Do y'all think the Friends retrospective will make it onto the Season 10 DVD? I really enjoyed it--they left the interviews to a minimum and let the best moments from the show shine.
Here's a new update: In the Feb. 27 issue of Entertainment Weekly, there's a small article talking about the possibility of Pinky & The Brain on DVD. It quotes Warner as saying there are "no plans for a DVD release at this time." Hopefully, this will change soon, and we'll see this show on...
With all of the success and media buzz surrounding this show (and Nick & Jessica), along with its solid ratings for MTV, will this show make it to DVD? Since The Osbournes seemed to be somewhat successful on DVD, maybe this show will make it, too? Anyone know, have comments, etc.?
From The Digital Bits' rumor mill: "With all the news lately about different TV shows being released on DVD, and with an industry conference on this very subject set for next month, we've learned that Warner is planning on releasing more animated TV product on our favorite format...
If I remember correctly, when Friends S4 was released, the MSRP for S1 and S2 were lowered. Will the same thing happened for Seasons 4 & 5 when Season 6 comes out next week?
Amazon says that the DVD will include seven episodes of "The Simple Life". Judging by what TVTome has on its episode list, that wouldn't include the reunion or the "lost episode".
Has anyone heard if an American Idol 2 recap DVD is coming out? I imagine if one were released, it would be a lot like the season 1 DVD. If anyone knows anything, please post. Thanks!
The Lilo & Stitch announcement makes me wonder... Is that movie considered one of Disney's 40-something "animated classics" like Aladdin, The Lion King, Emperor's New Groove, etc.?
