Need help finalizing a DVD (1 Viewer)

Last night, I was converting some things from a VCR tape to a DVD+R. I went to finalize the disc, and it never finished. I've tried it multiple times and it still didn't finalize. What's my next step? Should I clean the DVD or would that cause me to lose everything? I'm using Maxell DVD+Rs with 4.7 GB & 2 hours in SP mode. My recorder's an RCA DRC8005N. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

get a new dvd and record it again. That has happened to me before.
