I am looking to purchase the Logitech Harmony 688S for a friend who wants to control all of her components. Simplicity is key. Are there any other remotes I should consider at this price or lower?
I am looking to upgrade my amplifier and want to spend $800 to $1200. If I go with an Reciever/amp I will spend $800 on something like this Onkyo . But would be willing to spend closer to $1200 on a pre-amp&seperate power amp if it would result in significantly better sound. Are there and...

What format do networks such as HBO and Showtime get their HD Movies on? Do they do their out transfers? Obviously not on DVD, maybe DVHS, probably not.

I have already spent way too much on a home theater. I just graduated from college and would like to save a little. Is Sound and Visions' Home Theater Tune-up a good disc? I figure that AVIA is better, but if only marginally so I think I will go with S&V for only $15.00 or so.
I am purchasing the HTD level III "Y" 5.1 system. I want to know what speaker wire I should use, as cheap as possible with acceptable quality (and what gauge too).
I am considering the Panasonic 53wx42 or 53wx52. I like the idea of no glare, but hate the idea of a ruined screen. How easy is it to scratch or otherwise damage the screen on these things, and is there any recourse if a screen were to be damaged
