Here's what I think: why does Japan get a weekly Playboy magazine and we don't? I'm glad they are making a sequel to Pikmin. That's my favorite GC game yet.
Presentation Lots of text describing arenas and characters and a few movies here and there to convey the "sport" theme, but not much glitz and glamour otherwise. 7.0 Graphics Very good considering there's no difference between the look of online and offline games. Occasional stutters in...
I went to EB today to preorder the game and was told that it had been taken off their release list. Was this game supposed to have Xbox live support? If not, then I hope they are delaying it to add Xbox live support.
Here's what Splinter Cell's producer said about the weapons issue: In terms of fire arms, handgun and SC-20K multipurpose riffle are the 2 weapons Sam can use in the game. At a certain point in the development, we wanted to enable Sam to pick up its enemies'guns. We didn't do it for 2...
Do other people here with subscriptions usually get their mags late? I usually get mine on about the 10th of each month, but this month's issue came early for some reason.
What do you guys think? I thought MGS2 was pretty good, but from what I've seen so far in the demo it looks like Splinter Cell will be a much, much better game.
The 6 games that were mentioned in Paul's first post are the playable demos.
Here's a scan of the back of the disc that was posted on the TeamXbox site:

I kind of wish that I didn't check my mail unti I got home. I have an exam in about 15 mintues and all I can think about it...
I just got it today. Checked my mailbox before leaving for school and there it was. I was suprised because I didn't get last month's issue until about 2 weeks ago.
My Xbox mag has a score of 9.6 for Splinter Cell. I haven't checked any other scores yet since Splinter Cell was the only one I care about. I'm at school right now and won't be home until late tonight. Seriously thinking about skipping my late classes to play the Splinter Cell and Panzer Dragoon...
I'd go with 16:9. It gives you a bigger picture. I can see the full field when playing games like NFL 2k3 and Madden 2003 so it makes it easier to see if receivers on the outside are covered.
I've been reading about this stuff, but I'm still sort of confused as to what I need. I purchased the Mitsubishi 65819 earlier this year. I've enjoyed watching DVD's and playing games on it. Now I want to be able to take full advantage of my TV. Is an HDTV Tuner required to receive HDTV signals?
FYE.com is taking preorders of UC for only $29.99. Seems like a really good deal so I wanted to let everyone know about it. EDIT: Just went up to $49.99. They must have listed it wrong
I didn't mean to imply that Miyamoto forced them to use the Star Fox license. However, I believe Miyamoto was the one who suggested it. I also thought the change to include the Star Fox License was made before the game was moved to the GC.
I just noticed that it says they have the rights to Killer Instinct. I thought that it was owned by Nintendo. An interesting thing is that one of the possible titles mentioned for Rare's next KI game was Brute Force. I just read it on Rare's site a while ago, but all their links are down now...
