Daman: I have compared many FP, and decided to go for 4805. Can you tell me where you found the 4805 for $1350? Please give me a PM at [email protected]. Thanks a lot. James

I am going to mount the FP 13' away from the screen. I use the calculation from projection central website. Z2 will project 101" to 130", and HS 86" to 103". I am afraid I will see SDE or the screen will not be bright enough with Z2. Is it true? My HT room has light control. Can somebody...
I am deciding between Sanyo Z2 and Sony HS20. Is HS20 worth $1000 more than Z2 (street price)? Does anyone compare these two models before? What are the pros and cons on the two models? Thanks. James
I am building a new house, and would like to how to do it. It is difficult to place component cables in the wall for that long distance. If anybody knows any simple way to do it, please post. Thanks.
I am buying a front projector. The wire betweet my pre/pro is very long (about 30' ~ 40'). I am thinking about using wireless to transmit the video signal, and I found one model in Best Buy. Does anybody have experience on using wireless for you front projector? If it is, how does it compare to...
I bought 563 at BB yesterday. BB is having 10% discount through 11/26. The list price is $170.99. I pay $163 tatal including tax for a piece. I auditioned it a couple of hours last night. It is an amazing unit vedio wise and audio wise with the price. No regret at all. I will keep this piece for...
Geoff: I am like you, and looking for a LCD HDTV. I compared the all HDTV in BB two weeks ago, and found the SONY LCD 50" provides the best image quality in the shop. It has the same quality as the Samsung DLP with less MSRP. My only concern is the reliability of LCD, e.g., dead pixels. The...
Chris: I talked to the Denon sales representative in CEDIA in Indianapolis, IN last month. As we know, 2900 is an outstanding piece at the $1,000 range. He said the performance 2200 is very close to 2900, and most people cannot tell the difference visually and sonically. If it is the case...
Phillip: If it is ADP, my suggestion, Parasound 1500, is overkilled. I am using Parasound 855, 5 x 85W, and found it powers the Studio ADP all right. I just don't think ADP requires 200W for surround sound, but it is your choice. James
Phillip: $500 for a decent used stereo 200wpc is not easy to find. If it is the case, I recommend Parasound HCA-1500A. UBid used to have a lot of Parasounds for auction, but they are all gone, and Parasound has new line now. You may find one at Audiogon. Good luck. James
Evan, I am thinking about HT3 from my front and center (Studio 40 and CC). Will Odyssey/Paradigm combination sound too bright? I have Rotel RSP 1066 pre/pro.
The best small speak I have ever used for music is Rogers LS3/5. It outperforms my Paradigm Studio 40 and Thiel CS2.3. However, it is not suitable for HT due to its dynamic limitation. So, I recommend Studio 40.
I use Parasound 855 with my Paradigm Studio. It sounds great but hums all the time. I would like to upgrade to Odyssey, and want to know if anybody has the experience with Odyssey/Paradigm combination.
I used to compare Studio 40 and LSi 9 in a local store. They are neck to neck. The sensitivities of the two models are similar, but LSi 9 is 4 Ohm nominal impedance v.s. Studio 8 Ohm. It means LSi 9 requires twice the current to drive. As far as the sound quality, they are close. Since I already...
I am going to purchase a power amp for 50% classical music and 50% HT. With my budget, I am considering Rotel 1095 or 1075, or B&K 7250. I know 7250 is a discontinued model, and the street price should be closed to 1095. Has anyone compared the Rotel and B&K? What are the differences between the...
I am deciding between 1095 and 1075 too, and maybe B&K Reference 7250. According to the Rotel website, the spec differences between the two amps are: Damping Factor: 400 v.s. 180 Transformer: 2.4 kVA v.s. 1.5 kVA Capacitor: 8x15,000uF v.s. 8x10,000uf Output Device: 30x15 Amps v.s. 20x15...
