This classic was a complete suprise for me. I loved the over the top acting, especially from Elieen Heckart playing the drunk mom who lost her son. Nancy Kelly does one heck of a job playing little Rhodas mother too. Oh and then theres little Rhoda played by Patty McCormack who is just the...
Why oh Why do these things happen to me. I thought we had until July 4th. I was planning on getting 6-9 and be done. Is there any other specials going on besides Costco? I'm not a Costco member but I'm tempted to pay the membership fee and get the specials. :frowning: Help
Well, I never thought I would feel embarrassed buying a dvd untill yesterday. I almost bought Countess Dracula / The Vampire Lovers. The price was cheap ($9.99) for two movies and it was about vampires and i'm somewhat of a "sucker" for vamp flicks....oh yeah and I hear there's nude scenes :D ...
Correct me if i'm wrong but if I remember correctly, I think John Williams is not only doing the score, but actually writing it himself instead of "supervising".
If anyone else has info on this please share :)
Ouch! I think I picked the set w/o the bonus disc. The back doesn't feel or look like it has a bonus disc. I wonder If I can return it to BB. I was about to open it untill I read this thread. :frowning:
Count me as another sucessful pricematcher *S. I went to best buy during lunch and had no problems with the eckards pricematching. Although, I have a strange feeling that this wont last very long...hmmmm. Good Luck to all.
Anyone from Huntsville Tx? Haha...my brother saw kill bill in Huntsville and was completely speechless when he saw Buck "Who likes to F***" from Huntsville TX. What a memorable time it must have been for him.
I got a chance to see TCM this past Saturday at the Austin screening held by AICN and the Alamo Drafthouse. Without going into too much detail I would say this movie rates a 3 1/2 out of a five, it holds really well against the original. The beginning of the movie was a black and white film...
Scott pretty much said it all. I was suprised on how gory this movie got, it truly is a throwback to those classic horror movies from the past, I made sure to look at my pants to make sure they didn't magically transform into bell bottoms :D . The only nitpick thing I have to say about the movie...
Like most of you, I heard the news on the radio. I was still in bed and didn't process the news that was just told very well. I was completely shocked, this is the guy I watched when I was very young, someone who made me laugh all the time. To me he was a childhoood icon like john candy was. He...
If all those actors aren't enough to grab attention, one of the producers for The Woods is Sam Mercer who is Executive producing Van Helsing. Production on this movie is going to be outstanding! :b
Ahh fellow camp Hack N Slashers...Well I thought the movie was great, I was losing interest during the first 30 minutes but the movie picked up alot after that. It seemed like a long trailer with nudity, money shots, ass kicking filled with ALOT of sprayed and gushed blood, It was truly a...
Jason, I LOVED Shrek 4D! Except the 90 minute wait in line :frowning: but it was worth it. Mike, your right, that's where Kongfrontation used to be. Kind of sad the kong ride is being replaced, they could of made a new kong ride to coincide with PJ's remake of Kong. ;)
Cool, I just got back from Orlando and saw the same ad for the ride. Have you seen how HUGE the building for the ride is!? You can't tell from the pic but just a litle to the left where they have the lame ghostbuster show is a BIG stage where (I'm assuming) the ride is. :D
I'm not an over critical person so I can't bash this movie like others. This movie was FUN and agree that it was a notch below in quality then T2, but that's saying something since T2 was directed by James. Overall Great movie.
One thing I should mention is to stay 5 minutes into the credits to see the outcome of one of the characters. Oh, and watch out for cameo's from Kevin Smith and Stan Lee.
Just watched Daredevil today and I’m happy to say that this movie doesn't disappoint. Unlike other films of similar material, this movie focused more on its main character then on visual effects. Also, Ben Aflecks portrayal of DD was good too, I know allot of people out there tend to just hate...
Yes, I got the same adjustment, on both S.6 and S.7, each 79.99. I also picked up up The Godfather Set for around $67.00! Oh, and BTTF for 33 if i remember. Oh my, I think I'm broke now.
:)
I have faith in this movie, with a great cast, an awesome director, visual fx by ILM and makeup by Rick Baker. I just can't see anything stoping this film, I mean, WOW! Just describing it gives me goose bumps.
tee hee
:D
Thats funny, I saw that writing credit in IMDB too. From what I remember Shyamalan decided not to write the script for Indy 4, he had other projects he wanted to persue instead. I could be wrong but that's what I rememberd.
...looking forward to S I G N S!
A while back I was telling my brother how widescreen is how a movie is originally presented and that it shows more then the full frame vhs tapes of the same movie. Well, I get an eerie evil grin from him the next day. I knew something was up. He was SO pleased to point out my error and tell...
My list would be:
Married With Children "a true classic"
The Wonder Years "another classic"
Sienfeld "it's not too soon for this, is it?"
I'm sure theres more to list, but these are my top 3 right now. I know theres probably alot of you who would love to see alot of the old 80's shows...
I've often thought how some pretty famous ANIME would turn out as a live action or carton movies here in the states. Anime has hit big in U.S. and has been consistent with popularity. So not so suprising to see news that FOX has aquired the rights to make Dragonball Z to a movie. Not sure...
Hello, I was curious to know what the difference was between buying a new DVD title from a retailer "the day it comes out" VS pre-ordering it online? When you pre-order a DVD, do you get the dvd the day it comes out, ahead of time, etc.
thanx in advance.
Whats the story on this? I've been waiting for info on this. Seems that at one point "I think FOX" was going to make this happen, but after the script leaked everywhere, they decided not go along with it. Not sure whats going on, but IF it did get made, WHO do you think would make a great...
Billy Bob, the man, full of suprises. I too was suprised to see Billy on "Blood In Blood Out". I was like "what the hell is going on, is that...it isss.
:)
