I usually use the display button on my Pioneer (DV-717) and if the next chapter is about 1:43 min away when intro credits start I use next otherwise I just use fast forward! Hope that helped a bit! After having finished season 7 just the other day it is just to sit back and wait for DS9...
I bought the DTS version of this disc when it came out in November 2000. As far as I know both the DD and the DTS versions are identical, apart from the audio tracks off course. As far as the disc goes it have the normal DD 2.0 track besides the DTS track that even seems to be 1536 kbps...
I think there is plenty of LFE in this movies it is just encoded into the 5 other channels (all the 5 discreet channels in DD and DTS can contain LFE). Some receivers/amplifiers cannot handle this (lack of proper bass management) so it seems to have no LFE. The original Speed DTS LD was also...
Thanks for your answer John. It just that the entire MPAA rating system i quite confusing to understand when your nok not from America (to me it is). Well, it seems like the PG-13 version is the one i will be getting, thanks again.
Just saw this movie and i loved it! So I am looking forward to adding it to my collection, but there seems to to versions out a PG and a PG-13 version. Whats the difference and what is the most "unrated" version? MPAA's site did not really give any clues (that I could understand anyway :) ).

Some time ago there were some talking about 2001 beeing re-released in cinemas this christmas followed by a new DVD release next year! Is this true or is the newly remastered version from Warner the version to get?
Any information will be greatly appreciated since I really need to add this...
Wow, that's not an easy one!
Personally I prefer Final Fantasy, but both movies are great and deserves to be in any collection. The audio and video on FF is first class but the remastering work done on Akira i absolutely amazing. My only complaint about Akira is the lack of a 5.1 Japanese...
I couldn't find any other threads dealing with this so here goes!
By the way I'm asking the on behalf of one of my friends who didn't have the opportunity the ask the question himself. He's got the 2 dvd set of The 10th Kingdom and is using a Denon DVD-2500 (about 2 years old)
The problem is...
For me the biggest selling point would be DTS ES (both matrixed and discreet) without a doubt and then Dolby Digital EX. DPLII would be a nice feature also but over 90% of my software is 5.1 so that would come last.
Just for the record Dolby Digital EX is not 6.1 but 5.1 (the rear channel is...
A program called CATraxx may be the answer to your question. The program can scan your cd-rom drive and then download the appropriate information at CDDB. It can even use at sort of automation mode where the drive just pops out the CD after it has scanned it so you can insert at new one (this is...
I was very happy to get my TPM (US region 1) October 4th for 200 Danish kroner (around 25 USD). That is a very reasonable price for a region 1 DVD in Denmark! Saw the whole thing about two days later (after having seen the pod race a couple of times the same day :) ).
By the way I only buy...
I seem to recall that the region 2 release of TPM should be around the same date as the US region 1 release. I know the danish region 2 release is october 16, the same as the region 1.
