Moving 57" Sony RPTV (and moving in general)

I'm moving my own 47" Panny HDTV, only about 20 mins away. Is there anything special I should do? Other than be very careful with it. :) Is there a certain angle that they are not supposed to be tipped, in terms of moving it down stairs, into the back of the truck, etc? Thanks

    Convergence help Panny 47"

I'd just like to bring up this thread again. I've been doing some reading but haven't done any adjustments yet. It is difficult tracking down decent instructions on the service menu adjustments. Are there more complete sites out there than panny.tv? I want to adjust convergence, and possibly...

    Convergence help Panny 47"

I emailed Panasonic and they said that they only provide service manuals to "authorized service centers". Is there a 3rd party that I can get one from? Is this something new? I ordered Video Essentials so that should help me out, but as I understand it, I can not do more than 9pt convergence...

    Convergence help Panny 47"

Hi guys. About a month ago I purchased a PT-47WX33. It doesn't seem like a popular model, but its basically the same as a WX53. Anyway, its been great, I'm very happy with it. However the last few days I've noticed the convergence is out very close to the far right side. I did the 9pt user...

    brightness/contrast settings

Thanks for the reply. Another subjective question: how much of an effect does having the brightness and contrast cranked have on the lifespan of the CRT? And if somebody with a Panny can reply to my first question that would be great.

    brightness/contrast settings

Hi guys, I have a Panasonic 47" widescreen, PT47WX53. Its great, but I'm wondering about the brightness settings and not wearing anything out. I have relatively decent light control in the living room where the TV is, but its not perfect. I'm trying to keep the brightness and "picture"...

    Sony DB930 vs. DB940

Thanks for all of your help guys. Looks like the DB930 is out. However in this case I think I might go for the DB840 rather than DB940 since I don't really need the extra power (I live in an apartment). I notice the DB840 has APC (Analog Pureness Control)--I assume this is the analog...

    Sony DB930 vs. DB940

I've found a good deal on a DB930, and I was wondering what I'm missing out by not getting the newer DB940, or even the DB1070 I've seen recently. Originally I had considered getting the DB840, but at a lower cost, is there any reason I shouldn't go for the 930? Any comments on quality? For...
