Out of curiosity I set the front speakers to large and set the subwoofer to +MAIN where it would reproduce the low frequencies sent to the front speakers as well, but that did nothing. I'm hoping that the Audigy 2 or M-Audio revolution has a feature to "create" an LFE channel in this case...

I'm not sure which forum this belongs in, so here goes... I have a Denon AVR483 hooked to my computer via the 6 channel discrete inputs. If I am playing stereo music or playing a game, my subwoofer does not output anything. Granted there is no LFE channel, but shouldn't it reproduce...

There is an "On" function. They didn't provide very good documentation. The manual should say Auto/On/Off. I leave mine on all the time.

The problem with Bose is that you can't do A/B comparisons. They always have their own little display set up away from the high quality speakers, likely so people can't do this.

My Dayton arrived yesterday, that was quick! It's lighter than I expected, which concerned me, but I hooked it up anyway. I don't have my receiver or speakers yet, but I set it up with patch cables from my computer. I quickly found out that I couldn't put my computer on top of it (vibrations)...

Ok, ok, guys, I'll go with the Dayton. :) I'd always thought "you get what you pay for" but in this case, I think you get more than you pay for.

I'm not exactly sure of the effects of my particular room on sound, but it's is roughly 18x8 with 2 large double doorways on the long walls about 2 feet from the corner. The ceiling slopes from 12-14 feet to 8 ft over the length of the room. It's carpeted but has no "soft" furniture, and there...

Is this to say that when I have this hooked to my computer and it's not playing something I will have this buzzing noise? That's a pretty big fault, since I'll have the unit on most of the time, since it'll be my source for all my computer sounds as well. Do you know if the Denons exhibit this...
