Acer introduces C250i portable projector

The Acer C250i LED wireless portable projector is now available in the United States and includes stand-free multi-angle orientation and an auto-portrait mode. The projector weighs 1.75 lbs and supports hi-def 1080p images and “easy sharing” of smartphone content.

“The new Acer C250i showcases Acer’s innovation and commitment to bring to market products that improve and enhance everyday life,” said Ronald Lau, Acer America Director – Stationary
Products. “Its auto-portrait mode makes projecting content from a smartphone simple, while the Acer C250i’s unique design enables multi-angle projection without a stand.”

The C250i is not limited to horizontal throws and supports stand-free multi-angle projection with a twisted roll design. The form factor is designed to save space and allow flexibility projecting a smartphone screen onto walls and ceilings without a stand or tripod. Placed on its side, you can roll the projector to find the best angle for viewing, while vertical orientation supports horizontal wall throws and activates an auto-portrait mode. An integrated G-sensor automatically projects images just as you see them on a smartphone screen without changing settings, according to Acer. The auto-portrait mode means using a full projection surface without side black bars, and keystone correction is included.

Acer claims the embedded 9,000mAh battery provides up to 5 hours of renewable battery life on one charge and serves as a power bank to recharge phones on the go. The LED module should offer up a 30,000-hour lifespan. Onboard color gamut is 100% NTSC-compatible, brightness clocking in at 300 ANSI lumens and contrast boasts 5,000:1. There is a built-in 5W Bluetooth speaker and Android and iOS users can connect the PJ wirelessly while on the road. Connections are via HDMI, USB Type-A and -C ports.

The projector is available in the US with a one year warranty for 499.99. Click here for more details.
