I have a friend that is going to buy a Denon 3802.
Recently I've noticed allot of thread that talks about
the shut down problem.
What is the status about this ?
Did Denon gave any comment about it ?
I would like to hear from users who owns the product
their opinion on the subject.

Have had mine for almost a year now...no shutdown or anything going on.
I think this "problem" stems from usual stuff that could happen to any reciever. Then again, due to the popularity of this specific model, faults will be seen more than for those other brands.

Big room, loud volume = possible shutdown of receiver.
Low impedence speakers, loud volume = possible shutdown of receiver.
Solution? Separate amps.
