Is there any truth in the rumour that the Charlton Heston version of BEN-HUR will be coming out in 3-D next year. If so , then the chariot race sequence would be awesome.

A remake of Ben-Hur will be released in February next year.

As far as a 3-D version of 1959 Ben-Hur, I've heard nothing about it. It's owned by Warner Bros, who converted the Wizard of Oz two years ago, so anything is possible.

Just my opinion, but post production 3D has never looked very good to me.
I was very impressed with THE WIZARD OF OZ and JURASSIC PARK. The rest not so, including TITANIC, which many liked.

No. And where was this ever touted as even a rumor?

Well if they're going to muck around with an old classic (& if it gets a few more sales, why not), I'd rather they pulled the picture about a bit & released a SmileBox version, that would be fun.
