Any interest here? No real useful info at all on the Odeon site, I thought maybe someone more local has seen/found some info.

I suppose I would be foolish to expect a release that isn't pretty disappointing in most ways, based on all the past DVD "efforts". A half-decent pic based on an actual HD scan of a not-too-badly-damaged print, proper aspect ratio, and at least PCM audio = worthwhile.

Supposed to be released August 24.

[Too late to do an edit of the above...]

I just noticed there's (allegedly!) a Japanese BD that has AVC, a 1.66 AR, and DTS-HD MA audio tracks. Decent specs at least, and doesn't mean this Odeon release will be similar, but re-licensing once the big work is done is popular these days.

Again, I can find zero actual info on this Japan release, though I suspect searching a Japanese release using google with English could be a prob there. Too bad you can't translate your search terms into another language first...or can you?

^ Hmm, that does sound like the Japanese BD, as best I can tell. I still can't find any reviews of either release, maybe by next week. I'll get the UK one anyway, gotta surpass the DVDs I have (different, and poor).

Got this yesterday. Very good transfer, welcome supplements, and region-free.
