Asked on the Warner Archive Facebook page: "Are two Warner sci-fi classics -- "Them!" and "The Thing (From Another World)" -- ever coming to Blu-ray? Also, what of 1979's "Time After Time"?

Answer by Warner Archive: "One of the trio has just been remastered for Blu-ray release later this year. The others are very likely to follow."

All three are first-day buys for me.

At the very least, I'm in on a "Time After Time" Blu-ray on day one. Possibly the others too, but that one for sure.

Yes, Them and The Thing from Another World are not only classic films, but are iconic films in my opinion. I would buy Time after Time too because it's a fine film in itself.

If the One is the Thing, the others are in Warner Archive. Still, we can hope.

The Thing from Another World (1951) is currently one of my most wanted for release on Blu-ray! I hope this one pans out. I'd take the other two as well.

We're finally getting some good news regarding classic sci-fi on Blu! I'm fond of both The Thing from Another World and Them!, not so much Time After Time unfortunately.

Both films, Them and The Thing from Another Planet brings me back to my childhood in 1960s. With my siblings, we would watch each of those films on the Million Dollar Movie or maybe Creature Feature with the lights out, house dark except for the light from the TV and our parents not at home. Some great creepy, scary and entertaining memories indeed. :D

Time After Time is hugely enjoyable. I never get tired of watching it and a Blu-ray would be awesome.

Jack the Ripper ends up in modern times - I have vague memories of this one, but haven't seen it in decades.

instant purchase of any of the 3; but WB library is so big, they could pull off some real surprises if they increased the number of titles they put out this year

I'll happily buy all three, but Them! is definitely my fave out of this group. That film gave me nightmares as a kid and despite the mostly dodgy (by today's standards) giant ant effects it holds up wonderfully. The current DVD is very nice indeed but I would LOVE to have this on Blu!

I don't know much about Time After Time.

Probably because, from 1979, it's not a "classic sci-fi" from the 50's, but it's an Archive favorite--Nicholas Meyer, before he did even-numbered Star Trek films:

(Warning: Trailer shows pretty much the entire movie in detail: )
