The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp
. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain!
If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

I'm tempted to finish out my BSG collection, but chances are I'll be good and not burn my debit card anymore. The last week has been brutal.

I won't be bothering you with late review links this week, Mike. Everything I've got waiting for review comes out in December.

Thanks as always for the RoundUp.

Thanks for the Round-Up, Mike. Perry Mason fans like myself are happy to see the penultimate season (half of it anyway) released this week. With part 2 coming in January the series should see its final season released in 2013 as well.

Not a new release, but together with the other TV sets at BBY add Seasons 1 and 2 of Haven Bluray for 17.99. It's the first time that S2's been under $30
Also BN 50% Cable TV sets starts on 11/27 -- remember BN always quot %off from MRSP. I saw several sets sitting out today with a label on them preparing for the sale.

Just picked up Deadwood on Blu, complete series for 59.99 at BB.
They had a lot of TV on sale for crazy prices.
They're trying to drive us all insane!!!

Any other week, I'd jump at Shameless: Season 1 and Doctor Who: Series 6 for $19.99 apiece on Blu-Ray.
...But I've spent a crapload of money already these past few days.

My local Best Buy has the Harry Potter Blu-Rays of all the films at 9.99 with a sticker that gives $5 off on Hobbit tickets and the offer will be good for a week or two. I bought DH2 and might buy one of the early films since I'll need to spring for at least two tix for the Hobbit. That brings the price down to $5 for the BR if you were going to the movie anyway.

My local Walmart just today put out a bunch of Warner Blu-Ray triple features: Austin Powers set, Superman trilogy, Goonies + Gremlins 1&2, etc. At least some of these aren't set to be officially released for a few weeks yet but Walmart has them as exclusives for now. The best part: $9 each! They didn't have the one I wanted most, the John Wayne, but maybe I'll spot that at another store. (The other Walmart I hit this morning didn't have any of these on display at all.) Walmart's website is charging about $20 apiece for these.

That's weird. It was in my print ad this week, Tony, for $27.99. Of course, it wouldn't be the first time ads have been different (region to region).

Here's what my ad looked like:

My Walmart had a cardboard display with a bunch of HBO series sets for $14.96. I already had most of these (True Blood, Rome, Oz, The Wire, Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Deadwood), but I did snag the John Adams miniseries.
They also had the Men in Black 3 blu-ray for $17.99. Surprisingly low price at my store in a non-competitive area.
