The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.
I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp
. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain!
If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!
Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Thanks Mike. Lots of for sale titles I'll need to go through. That Best Buy Ice Age set is appealing even though I already have the Christmas Special.

I see nothing I need right now...which is good, considering the amount of money I've spent in the last three weeks. My debit card needs a break!

I'll be picking up Girls and Futrurama this week. I haven't seen Death Valley in probably more than 20 years but I may take a chance and buy that too.

Considering it's one of the best TV shows ever made, that's a deal at twice the price.
Thanks for the prices, Mike! :)

I haven't received the Ice Age: Continental Drift review copy yet, and I'm not sure if Fox will send the requested 3D version or just the Blu on it, but that should be here early in the week. Just starting on The Qatsi Trilogy this afternoon, so that review will be a few days coming.

Thanks for the prices, Mike.

Am I missing something? This morning Best Buy's site doesn't seem to have any mention of a bonus disc with Ted...?

The print ad says "60-minute bonus content" so maybe it's on the disc (rather than being on a bonus disc). Or maybe there's just a total of 60 minutes of bonus features on the disc and none of it is BB exclusive but they highlight the amount so it seems like it's an exclusive.

Thanks, Fellas. I have edited the OP to reflect that the BB ad does NOT say there's anything exclusive about the 60 minutes of bonus content with the Ted Blu-ray.

I saw the word EXCLUSIVE in connection with the Ted doll and must've gotten a little carried away. Sorry for any confusion.

I saw the ad yesterday and assumed the same thing until I read Bleddyn's post. It's not fair to say that Best Buy worded it oddly to create the question of whether or not they have exclusive content but I'm sure they wouldn't mind people making that mistake and buying the disc there. :)

It has been getting tougher and tougher to parse the wording in these Sunday flyers. It DOES seem at times as if the stores are deliberately trying to create impressions that are not necessarily true.

I usually play it extremely safe in wording the text close to how it appears in the ads. I bungled this one.

Following is already on Pre-Order to avoid last weeks troubles with Purple Noon. The Qatsi trilogy can be gotten for a good deal at B&N, I'm told theres a 40% off sale coming (or here?) so that would bring that one down to $48, if you are a member in store it's $43.20, then if you can get your hands on an 8 off 40 coupon, it's $35.20.

Looks as if the LOTR Steelbooks at BB are the theatrical cuts. :f
A couple of weeks back I bought all three LotR EE BDs at Target for $10 apiece, and each has a $5 coupon to see The Hobbit. The ad may only list the first one, but it might be worth checking to see if all three are on sale this week.
I believe the individual EE Blus (which include the commentaries but no other extras) are exclusive to Target for a while yet.
