Inspired by Michael Alden's excellent thread on shows with 3 or more seasons still MIA on season DVD sets, I'd like to take the opposite route and discuss those shows that for one reason or another failed to make it past its initial season, and warrant a DVD release due to the show's uniqueness.
Recently we've seen such single-season wonders like The Adventures of Brisco County, The Judy Garland Show, The Time Tunnel, Commander in Chief, and Law & Order: Trial By Jury being released in sets. However, there are a lot of one-shot shows that deserve a release too!
My personal one-season wish list:
Honey West
Longstreet
Love on a Rooftop
Bridget Loves Bernie
He & She
My Mother the Car
The Girl From U.N.C.L.E.
When Things Were Rotten
John Doe
Coronet Blue
My Living Doll (heard rumors of a possible release in the near future)
Paper Moon
Married To the Kellys
It's All Relative
The Betty White Show (the 1977 sitcom w/John Hillerman)
Muppets Tonight
Mind you, that's just the tip of the iceberg. Besides, I know that a lot of you out there have some fave shows that didn't get a second season. Ladies and gentlemen, here's your chance! Who knows- maybe someone with influence just may be reading this forum, and some of these shows just might make it to the shelves of stores soon......
