When the original SkyFi units were the rage
of the day, many of the XM audiophiles took
advantage of a modification service being run
under MYRADIOSTORE.COM.
By adding optical output capability to the SkyFi,
subscribers were able to enjoy enhanced XM audio
that only a direct digital connection could provide.
Here is how it worked....
Essentially you either purchased a SkyFi unit
with optical output already installed or sent
in your own SkyFi unit for the modification surgery.
The modification cost $99.
Once the SkyFi2 was introduced last year
many of us inquired how we could have these units
modified as well.
At first, the news was not good. The folks at
MYRADIOSTORE.COM had difficulties getting around
the extra electronics inside these units to install
the optical hardware.
I have just received word that modification tests
have been successful and now subscribers can have
their SkyFi2 upgraded for optical output.
In fact, I have been informed that MYRADIOSTORE.COM
is offering a limited time discount for anyone
wishing to have their SkyFi2 unit upgraded.

Home Theater Forum makes mo profit off of steering
you to this site. For that reason you can trust the
fact that I am recommending an audio output upgrade
that many of you will probably benefit from.
