Roger Donaldson Collection includes Sleeping Dogs and Smash Palace.

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed advertisements, the Sunday of the week of release (so as to catch any week-of-release sale prices). All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price. If a price is marked "$_N/A_" in the grid, it means that this title is not shown as available on that chain's website or perhaps in their ads...but it COULD still be in-stores!

$_"LP" means the advertisement says "Low Price", and $_"HP" means the advertisement says "Hot Price". Use of either of these in the Roundup grid indicates that I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I only include the titles I feel like including (or the ones Dave tells me he's looking for ;o)). In fact, the titles are pretty much the ones I'm personally interested in, with few exceptions. I don't get paid for this, and I don't have time to devote to doing every DVD. So, please don't complain. If there is a title not included in the Roundup that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone...like Dave & I do!

Note that Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii. Also note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the standard Roundup: they set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is not a way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. When it comes to Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices mentioned at all, just remember that "Your Mileage May Vary".

**BE CAREFUL! Along Came Polly AND Field of Dreams AND Mystic River (1-disc only) are all available in both OAR and MAR versions...get the correct one!!!

Looks like Best Buy is charging more than the MSRP for the Tarzan boxset. Another reason why buying from online retailers is a cheaper option with many catelogue titles.

Since this week is focused on the new television set for my room, I would say pass on any new releases. Besides, only A-Team and Robocop were the only thing I would had bought, but I might just wait on the prices to drop or something. I found a great television too for 140, which is pretty good for something that isn't HDTV. Now to save the money for a new dvd player. Which by the way, any of the 40-90 dollar players any good? Hate to buy a clunker.

Thanks for the roundup Mike...and that one guy who looks like Al Bunny. Posted Image

Nothing for me. I need the break besides, though that Hollywood Video sale is also taking its toll.

Talk about an expensive as hell week. Luckily I got City of God today when I saw it early at a store I went to. Still, on Tuesday I still have to get The Creeping Flesh, Robocop box set, Mystic River 3 disc, and Just Shoot Me. All are over $20 to boot.

Can't believe there are no "deals" for "City of God" - a brilliant film, BTW.

QL Season 1
Dead Zone S2
Mash S2

But all Internet orders for me the B&M cannot compete well sort of Circuit City.com for QL, Amazon.com w/STL for Mash, and DDD For Dead Zone at the Amazing Retail of $23.99. Good savings and add in GAS and you do the math.

Double checking the ad and online prices for "Field of Dreams: Anniversary Edition" at Circuit City shows me a $19.99 listing. I guess Mike accidentally typed in the Best Buy price there instead (honest error with all of those numbers to type). Oh well, looks like I will be ordering this movie online from BB since their closest store is 45 minutes away from me. Thanks again for all of your hard work.

Other stuff I want, but not a high priority like Who's the Boss and Just Shoot Me.

Whew!

Big week for me:

A-TEAM Season One
M*A*S*H Season Six
Quantum Leap Season One

It figures that now that I have a very nice 16:9 capable FPTV system, I'm suddenly purchasing a bunch of 4:3 stuff! *sigh*

(Oh well: I can probably console myself by viewing the LOTR:ROTK movie again!!)
