Hello,

I've decided to get a Panamax Max 8 for my new gear. The description says it is HDTV ready. What does this really mean? I get HDTV through digital cable, so is this device compatible with my signal?? I've looked all over the place and everything just says it is HDTV ready...

I know you have to be careful what to use because satelitte and cable protectors have different specs.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

Perry,

HDTV ready means the coax loop through the Max 8 for cable protection will not screw up HDTV signals.

It's the same if you're looking for a splitter for cable, make sure you get one with high bandwidth in the 2GHz range. They don't actually cost much more than a regular one.

Hope it helps,

Simon
